David Brussel has played horn with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra since 1982, and   has performed with many Colorado ensembles including the Boulder Brass, the Central City Opera, and the Denver Municipal Band.

He is an active freelance performer on horn and piano in the Denver area, and has recorded albums of art song transcriptions and jazz.  In addition, he has served as conductor for productions by Opera Fort Collins, the Denver Opera Company, the Larimer Chorale, the Aurora Symphony, and the Rocky Mountain Youth Orchestra, and is currently the Artistic Director of the Front Range Chamber Players. 

He holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory and Northwestern University, and has taught at the University of Georgia, Metropolitan State College, and Colorado State University.
